Getting Started with MangaOra
Your first manga in minutes: create a story, add a character, and generate your first panel with AI.
Start with Quick Scene or Studio
If you are new, Quick Scene is the fastest way to create a hero, supporting cast, cover, script, and first page. For a full book, open Studio and start from a premise, chapter idea, or existing story text. Even a few paragraphs is enough for the AI to suggest panels and characters.
Add at least one character
In Characters, create a character: name and a short description (e.g. “Young woman, long black hair, red headband, martial arts gi”). Optionally add a reference image. You’ll assign this character to panels so the AI knows who’s in the scene and keeps them consistent.
Create a Studio book
Use Studio to generate or refine a chapter breakdown: suggested panels, character list, and continuity notes. Your Studio book keeps the script, characters, pages, cover, and references together so you do not have to manage a separate older editor workflow.
Generate your first panel
In Studio, open your chapter or first page. Pick the first panel in your plan (or type a simple description like “Wide shot of a dojo at dawn”). Assign your character if they’re in the shot. Click Generate. When the image appears, you can keep it, edit it, or regenerate. That’s the core loop: plan, describe, generate, build the page.
Next steps
From here you can add more characters, refine prompts using the tips in “Writing great panel prompts,” and keep consistency with “Keeping characters consistent.” When you’re ready, use “Export your manga” to get images or a PDF. You’ve gone from idea to manga—the rest is practice and iteration.
